There are at least two ways to transfer assets from one person to another, including Transfer on Death (TOD) Registration, which allows you to pass the securities you own directly to another person or entity upon your death without having to go through probate, and Transfer of Ownership, which allows you to transfer or sell securities you hold in physical certificate form.
