myRA is a retirement plan offered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury for workers who don’t have access to a retirement plan through their job. It is a starter individual retirement account that allows you to save up to $15,000 in a secure, no-cost account invested in United States Treasury bonds. You can set up your myRA account here with no minimum contribution, and can add to the account automatically from your paycheck, bank account, or federal tax refund (subject to IRS maximum annual contributions). myRA accounts can be transferred or rolled over to a private-sector Roth IRA at any time.
